Prerequisite for First Lecture

Hello,

In upcoming semester, we are going to study the course 'Internal Combustion Engine (2161902)'. This is one of the application of Thermal Engineering.

We already studied some fundamental in the previous semester course; named 'Elements of Mechanical Engineering (2110006)'.

•     Piston   Piston rings
•     Connecting rod
•     Crankshaft
•     Engine bearing
•     Crankcase

3. Working of 2 Stroke/4 Stroke: Petrol and Diesel Engine

• Suction Stroke
• Compression Stroke
• Expansion Stroke
• Exhaust Stroke

4. Calculations for Engine Performance

•  Indicated Power
•  Friction Power
•  Brake Power
•  Mean Effective Power
